Marcus Denetdale

Program Manager, Construction in Indian Country, Arizona State University

Marcus is the Program Manager of Construction in Indian Country (CIIC) – a construction industry outreach program through the Del E. Webb School of Construction (DEWSC) at Arizona State University (ASU). CIIC develops relationships between tribal governments, enterprises, administrators and the construction industry. He is also charged with: raising scholarship dollars; recruiting American Indian students; expanding CIIC’s resources and networks. This year, CIIC, raised over $37,000 for the scholarship endowment fund. Marcus is pursuing his doctorate in the civil, environmental, & sustainable engineering degree program and in the sustainability specialty area. He is researching tribal housing and community-build projects. Marcus is from Farmington, New Mexico and a citizen of the Navajo Nation and an U.S. Air Force Veteran. He enjoys mentoring student veterans who are transitioning from service to academia. He is a member of ASU Veterans Alumni Chapter, ASU Native American Alumni Chapter, and AISES. He is staff advisor to ASU’s Student Veterans of America-Tempe and Construction in Indian Country Student Organizations.
